First time I read it whwn i ws pursuing my B.tech. My exams had been started and somehow I got Nirmala. I started reading and I was lost in the Nirmala to such extent that I could not sudspend the reading untill I finished it. Munshi Premchand's stories and novels are the books that I have grown up with. I used to read them when I was of 12-13 years old, way back in 60s, and they left an indelible impression on my young mind. I have always believed that these literary works were priceless; they portrayed rural India in such a simple and moving style that to this day has remained incomparable. Today, when I went through the collection that you have made available online, it felt as if I was reliving my childhood. The same emotions of happiness and sadness, the anguish and the pain and the helplessness of the characters who suffered, all returned as if in a flood, and I could not control myself. Tears flowed freely and voice choked. This is the impact of Munshiji's writing... timeless and priceless. Probably, we will not see the rural India that Munshiji lived in and saw in his days, but we will be able to live that experience through his writings and I am sure we will be able to relate to Algu", "Hori", "Gaya", "hamid" "Jumman" and Maiku" as well as to Munshi Totaram. Achha laga Aap yakeen nahi karenge main kabhi bhi, kisi bhi upanyas ko do din mein nahi padh saka tha, par yeh is baar sambhav ho gaya....sachmuch Nirmala padh kar fir usi purane daur ki ek jhalki mil gayi jahan striyan kewal sukh ki samgri samjhi jaati thi...khair is vishay par tipaani karne ke liya nahi likh raha hoon balki aapk is prayatna aur parishshram ke liye...dhanyawaad aur saadhuwad dono hi dena chahta tha. Agar ho sake to aur bhi upanyas hamare jaise logon ke liye is patal par awashya prastut kare....
